Help me go on my very 1st vacation

On February 4, 2014  my wrongful 1994 murder conviction was overturned after finding that the state withheld evidence showing my innocence and my attorney was ineffective for not investigating and presenting his compelling defense - that I couldn't have done the crime.

I was 17 years old when the tragic crime occurred and spent my 20s and nearly all of my 30s wrongly incarcerated.

But this was just the beginning of another two year battle. I was released with strict curfew restrictions as the district attorney vowed to retry me.  I was released with nothing. For my first year "free" I was unable to work and relied on my friends and family for absolutely everything. This last year I have held down multiple jobs at once -- I have opened a barber shop with my dear friend and partner Daniel Rideau, and I spend my days working for an advertising company.

On May 27th the district attorney dropped the charges, fully exonerating me once and for all and I want nothing more than to take my first vaction in over two decades.

But I'm still just scraping by.

I dearly hope that over the next month I can put aside enough money to not only pay for my very first trip outside of Louisiana, but to also cover the loss of income I'll incur while taking the time off.

If you are interested in helping, but not in this way, I also have an Amazon wishlist here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/3QPH6HQIGGP3L/ref=cm_wl_rlist_go_v?

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to learn about me, and support me.
