Money for bills

After overexerting myself and discovering blood where there shouldn't be (and two times in the Emergency Room), I am taking some (doctor prescribed) time off and have an appointment to see what's wrong with me.  The problem with this is it means that I am going a week without pay (and I am financially hurting enough as it is).  If you know me, you realize it's really hard for me to ask for help, but to help others, I have to help myself.  I am not about to let a wife, two kids, and a dog suffer because I was too proud to ask for help.  I could use some help, please.
