Ici Fred, Kim et nos quatre enfants Mayi, Leo, Woody, Frida.
Nous nous lançons dans un projet collectif, avec d'autres familles avec enfants. C’est un rêve de longue date de devenir gardiens d’un lieu, vivre dans la simplicité, l’harmonie, l’abondance, l’interdépendance, la joie et l’accomplissement. Nos enfants sont notre avenir, nous souhaitions qu’ils aient l’opportunité de développer une vision “écocentrique” du monde et non égocentrique. Comment attendre d’eux qu’ils prennent soin de leur Terre s’ils en sont constamment coupés?
LA VISION
L’idée est de s’installer en yourte sur le terrain, pour des raison pratiques et légales. Le but étant de créer une vie tournée vers l’extérieur, où la maison redevient l’abri à laquelle elle est destinée. Notre but n’est pas de vivre en autarcie, nous avons besoin les uns des autres pour nous épanouir et où nous nous installerons, il y a une dizaine d’autres personnes et une quinzaine d'enfants. Dans le contexte sanitaire et social du moment, il est important de renouer les liens, tisser, travailler ensemble, créer des sanctuaires pour nos enfants et ceux qui viendront, en s’inspirant de la vision amérindienne d’agir pour les 7 générations a venir. Mon intention est de d’utiliser la forêt existante pour petit à petit la transformer en forêt nourricière, en y intégrant des plantes comestibles, baies, fruitiers, tubercules... créer un espace d’abondance sur notre palier. Je suis attaché à la notion de “souveraineté alimentaire” et j’espère montrer à mes enfants que l’on peut subvenir à beaucoup de nos besoins sans avoir besoin du supermarché. Dans la pratique :
_ plantations d’espèces comestibles adaptées au milieu forestier
_ culture de champignons shiitake (pour lesquels il y a une forte demande)
_ production de miel en installant des ruches dites kenyanes (qui respectent d’avantage les abeilles) arrosage faire ça!)
_ jardin de plantes aromatiques et médicinales
_ expérimenter des techniques de cultures potagères sans eau
_ sculpture de cuillères bois avec le bois local (j’aime beaucoup)
_ construction d’espaces extérieurs en expérimentant des techniques primitives ou alternatives (toit végétal, bois cordé, paille, argile, bois tressé...) en organisant des chantiers participatifs.
Nous avons accès à quantité de marchés de petits producteurs et aussi pratiquer d’autres sortes d’échanges non monétaires.
NOS BESOINS : 20 000 euros
Nous avons toujours vécu une vie semi nomade, pleines d’aventures, d’expériences, de joies et de peines, accueillant quatre enfants en chemin. Cette vie ne nous a pas permise de mettre un capital de côté, ni d’emprunter aux banques et nous n’avons
pas de famille pour nous soutenir. C’est pourquoi nous serions heureux de votre soutien pour nous aider a manifester cette vision! Nous voulons faire fabriquer par un artisan local deux yourtes.
Cela à un coût : environ 20 000 euros au total. Les yourtes importées de Mongolie sont certes moins chères mais pas adaptées à nos climats et il ne reste plus beaucoup de bois là bas... Il y a beaucoup d’autres choses qui seront nécessaires mais nous devrions pouvoir en assurer l’achat si cette campagne fonctionne. Il est temps de rêver avec nos enfants et non pour eux. Militer pour moi, c’est vivre et incarner le changement que nous souhaitons, créer des espaces fonctionnels, résilient, coopératifs et solidaires.

Here are Fred,Kim and our four kids Mai, Leo, Woody, Frida.
We are embarking on a collective project with other families. It’s a longlife dream to become caretakers of a place, in harmony, abundance, interdependency, simplicity, joy and achievement. Our children are our future and we wish to raise them with an “ecocentric” view of the world, opposed to an egocentric one. How can we expect them to care for their Earth if they are completely cut off from it?
THE VISION
The idea is to live in two yurts, for practical and legal reasons. Our goal is not social rupture. We are fully aware of our co-dependency and it takes a village to raise children as they say. In the actual social and sanitary context, it is important to weave our web, reconnect, work together, share, create sanctuaries for our children and those to come, keeping the Native American vision to act for the next 7 generations.
Our intention is to use the existing forest to step by step transform it into an edible forest garden, integrating edible and medicinal plants, berries, shrubs, vines, fruit
trees...using every level of growth to create abundance on our doorstep. I cherish the notion of “food sovereignty” where my children might learn that there is plenty to harvest away from a supermarket shelf.
IN PRACTICE
_ cultivate shiitake mushrooms (there’s a growing demand for them)
_ beekeeping using top bar hives, respecting much more the natural way of the bees and harvesting what we need only.
_ growing an aromatic and medicinal herb garden
_ experimenting with growing veggies with no water system
_ spoon carving (which I enjoy!) _ building outdoor spaces experimenting primitive or alternative technics (cordwood, straw, weaving, turf roofs...) and organising groups to build them.
There are loads of small producers markets around and we’ll also be able to work on other types of exchanges.
There is spring water nearby and plenty of timber.
WHAT WE NEED : 20 000 euros
Until now, we’ve been living a fairly semi nomadic life, full of adventures, experiences, joys and sorrows. This kind of life didn’t put us in a position to have a capital nor to borrow money from banks. That’s why we would be happy and grateful with your support to help us manifest our dream. We want to have a local artisan make two yurts for our big family. It does cost more than an imported yurt.
But the ones made in Mongolia are not suited for our climate and there is no forest left there. We will need a lot of extra for all the other things we are planning on doing but if this campaign succeeds we’ll manage to cover these costs.
It is time to dream with our children and not for them.
To be an activist for me is to live the change we want to see, creating functioning systems, resilient, in cooperation and solidarity.
Rethink our way of life.

Our Yurts will have no electricity and no running water...we like it like that, for it will help us slow down and find a new way of connecting to our body, our mind, our spirit and to find back the essence of timelessness...."
