HELP Venezuelan Refugees

We are a registered civil association called "Venezolanos en Cucuta" our unique goal is to help Venezuelan migrants  newly arrived to Cucuta (Colombian city at the border with Venezuela).

As it has been recently reported by different news outlets across the entire world, Venezuela is suffering the worse humanitarian crisis in Latin America, therefore, millions of desperate Venezuelans are forced to try to escape this situation, most of them reach the border with Colombia to find a better future. Recently we have noticed that these migrants arrive in Colombia with no money and many in terrible health conditions.

It is really difficult to determine how to help. Due to the tremendous amount of needs to be met, we are organizing ourselves to meet specific needs that other organizations, the Church or local institutions are not covering, in order to avoid overlapping ourselves.

Short term: Venezuela migrants travel hundreds and thousands of kilometers by foot to other destinations across South America, they have no money to buy a bus ticket. This is heart breaking considering they travel with young kids, old people and sometimes pregnant women.

We kindly ask your donation to buy walking shoes, socks, coats. foot creams or if you have any mean to post them to us to :
Don Cachapa. Malecón 54000 San José De Cùcuta, Norte De Santander, Colombia Phone: +57 7 5744739

Long term: We would like to create a  safe shelter for migrants in need.

Here there is a video made by a Colombian TV station, at the end of the video you can see us distributing some shoes to migrants.

This is one of our meetings in Cucuta:
