Helping Children With Disabilities

El Centro de Educacíon Especial “Samuel” (CEES) is a project created by my aunt Elba who has a son with Down Syndrome. He was the inspiration in creating a school for children with special needs in Haina located in the Dominican Republic. These special needs include Down Syndrome, Autism, Mental Retardation, and kids who have a hard time focusing and learning. The school provides special education, neurological therapy, concentration therapy, and speech therapy. There is a significant amount of children who have these disabilities and are not getting the correct attention because of the lack of money. We are trying to raise enough money to help them get the correct attention and education.
