Samantha's Medical Fund

Samantha is an amazing 19 year old young lady, just starting her voyage into her adult life. She graduated with honors from high school, and had just started her freshman year of college when she was diagnosed with leukemia in November 2014. It was an earth shattering news, but Samantha took the news as with everything in her life, with a smile and a great "CAN DO" attitude. Unfortunately, her body is not tolerating the prescribed chemotherapy well, leaving bone marrow transplant as the next treatment option once a donor match is made. In the meantime, she will continue her weekly chemotherapy treatments, which are done at Karmanos hospital. Karmanos is over an hour drive from her home and take most of a day to complete. With the support of her mom and sister they are diligently driving and taking her to her treatments but they also have to continue to work and attend school. This a lot of stress on this family. I have helped when I can, but have decided to start this page to ease the financial burden on this wonderful family, I met Sam through showing horses and her love for animals and her zest for life are heartwarming. I certainly hope we can raise the money to cover what her mom's insurance won't, the whole family deserves a bit of relief. All donations are welcome.
