Adrian Sanchez is one of our Society of Saints Cosman and Damian presidents right now as a senior medical student at Vanderbilt. He has started and led student Rosary and bible study programs at Vanderbilt University Medical Center for the student body, and just bought a church kneeler for the Eskind Biomedical Library so that students will have a place to go and kneel before God Almighty and pray. He is a convert and he married Jesse. Together they have 3 other children.
Jesse gave birth to Julian a few days ago at 31 weeks. Unfortunately, Julian had a very traumatic delivery and has anoxic brain injury after 25 minutes of being coded. Julian remains in the Vanderbilt nursery. We don't know what God's plan is for his life, but all is being done to help him have every chance. Adrian and Jesse view Julian as God’s gift and a light to all of us that despite severe disability, we are all priceless and of equal value to God. Baby Julian is baptized, confirmed, and has been given the anointing of the sick. He has been prayed over, under, above and below and all between. He’s got ongoing apnea, still is on 28% oxygen and being fed by a tube. Can’t go home and does have severe anoxic injury – CP.
We have started this GoFundMe as a way to help Adrian and Jesse with hospital bills and medical expenses. Please continue to pray for Adrian, Jesse, Julian and their family.
