Hola a todos, cada vez es más frecuente ver la gran necesidad de los venezolanos por la grave crisis que se vive en ese país. Nadie está exento de pasar por estas situaciones y, en esta ocasión, creamos una campaña para ayudar a nuestra amiga Karen Marín, quien fue diagnosticada con cáncer y lucha día a día para vencer esta enfermedad. A continuación, les dejamos este relato escrito por ella misma.

“Mi nombre es Karen Susana Marín Rojas, tengo 32 años de edad, soy ingeniero industrial de la Universidad Católica Andrés Bello. Vivo en Los Teques, estado Miranda, Venezuela.
En octubre de 2017 sentí una protuberancia en mi seno izquierdo, asistí al doctor y luego de una biopsia me diagnosticaron un Carcinoma Ductal Infiltrante con aspecto Lobulillar. Esto me cambió la vida por completo, no solo a mí sino también a mi familia y amigos cercanos.
Gracias a la invaluable ayuda de mis familiares, amigos y la empresa donde trabajo, en noviembre de 2017 me realizaron una operación quirúrgica, que consistió en una mastectomía radical de mama izquierda con disección de los ganglios axilares. La evolución de mi cirugía —gracias a Dios— ha sido satisfactoria. Sin embargo, por el resultado la enfermedad se clasificó como T2N2M0 y, por tener algunos ganglios comprometidos, actualmente necesito recibir tratamiento de ocho ciclos de quimioterapia, sin contar decenas de exámenes médicos y tratamientos posteriores para vencer dicha enfermedad.
En Venezuela, el acceso a medicamentos para este tipo de tratamientos es cada día más complejo, por lo que debemos comprarlos en el exterior y no tenemos recursos suficientes para adquirirlos, adicional al alto costo por exámenes, evaluaciones y tratamientos posteriores que debo realizarme. Entre los medicamentos que requiero se encuentran: Doxorubicina, Zoladex, Taxotere, Emend, Dexametasona, Ocoxin, entre otros. Varios de ellos, por un tiempo prolongado.
Por ello, mi familia y yo acudimos a todos los que me leen, esperando recibir de ustedes el apoyo que tanto necesitamos en estos momentos. Ya iniciamos el proceso de quimioterapia y hemos logrado avanzar con fondos que nos han aportado. Sin embargo, necesitamos su aporte con premura para continuar comprando el tratamiento restante de las siguientes sesiones y lo posterior a ellas.
Ninguna ayuda es poca, cada aporte cuenta en este momento para nosotros. Juntos vamos a vencer de la mano de Jesús Misericordioso, quien en su palabra nos dejó: “Pide, y se te dará, busca y encontrarás, toca, y se te abrirá” (Mateo 7:7).
“Yo he venido para que tengan vida, y para que la tengan en abundancia” (Juan 10:10).

Hello everyone, it is increasingly common to see the great need of Venezuelan people for the serious crisis that is experienced in that country. Nobody is exempt from going through these situations and, on this occasion, we created a campaign to help our friend Karen Marín, who was diagnosed with cancer and fights every day to overcome this disease. Below, we leave you this story written by herself.

"My name is Karen Susana Marín Rojas, I am 32 years old, I am an industrial engineer from the Andrés Bello Catholic University. I live in Los Teques, Miranda state, Venezuela.
In October of 2017 I felt a lump in my left breast, I attended the doctor and after a biopsy I was diagnosed with an Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma with Lobulillar appearance. This changed my life completely, not only me but also my family and close friends.
Thanks to the invaluable help of my relatives, friends and the company where I work, in November of 2017 I underwent a surgical operation, which consisted of a radical mastectomy of the left breast with dissection of the axillary lymph nodes. The evolution of my surgery - thank God - has been satisfactory. However, due to the result, the disease was classified as T2N2M0 and, due to having some involved lymph nodes, I currently need to receive treatment of eight cycles of chemotherapy, including dozens of medical exams and subsequent treatments to overcome this disease.
In Venezuela, access to medicines for this type of treatment is increasingly more complex, so we must buy them abroad and we do not have enough resources to acquire them, in addition to the high cost of exams, evaluations and subsequent treatments that I must perform. Among the medications I require are: Doxorubicin, Zoladex, Taxotere, Emend, Dexamethasone, Ocoxin, among others. Several of them, for a long time.
Therefore, my family and I go to all those who read me, hoping to receive from you the support that we need so much at this time. We have already started the process of chemotherapy and we have managed to advance with funds that have contributed to us. However, we urgently need to continue buying the remaining treatment for the following sessions and after them.
Each contribution counts at this moment for us. Together we will overcome by the hand of Jesus Merciful, who in his word left us: "Ask, and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, touch, and it will be opened" (Matthew 7: 7).
"I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly" (John 10:10).
