The Gift of Vision

Donation protected
Who wants to help give an amazing, and seemingly impossible gift to someone? If you had the chance to give the gift of vision to someone, would you help? Would you give even $5, to help someone who has been blind since birth, be able to see again? Pretty epic right?! Well, my friend Taylor, is that guy! Taylor has Optic Nerve Hyperplasia and Nystagmus; this means that Taylor has 20/3000 vision in one eye and 20/200 in the other. He can only see things when they are held extremely close to his eyes.
I have known Taylor since he and his siblings were elementary school age. (He's in college now!!) I attended the same church as his family, I babysat him and his siblings frequently and have had the opportunity to see Taylor press on and move forward. He has never let his visual impairment hold him back. He's never used it to make excuses and he's always proved people wrong, rising above the "odds" of man or doctors. He's an extremely talented artist. He draws and does photography and blows us all away with his talent.
Recently he became aware of some technology called eSight and he began to do some research! If you've never heard of eSight, it is a pair of glasses that restores Taylor's 20/3000 vision to 20/10 vision... and yes that's better than 20/20. Taylor recently posted a video on Facebook of his trip to try the glasses and we were all overcome with emotion to watch as Taylor was able to see things CLEARLY for the first time!! (You can check out his Facebook page for the full experience.)
In order for Taylor to order his own eSight glasses he has to have $500 down and then the Canada based company will work with him to arrange payment of the remaining balance, for a total of $10,000. I put a small amount of money above the goal because Taylor will most likely need to travel once again for fittings, and also need money to insure the glasses etc. So the extra is "incidentals".
Please consider giving toward this amazing opportunity that Taylor has! I can only imagine the endless possibilities. Taylor is already a conqueror so I believe this will only amplify his gifts and propel him on to the next thing!
Thank you all for taking time to read, and consider participating. If you have questions about this process, don't hesitate to reach out to Taylor!
