Medical and financial assistance

Hi my name is Crystal Driver, and I am fundraising for my father, Dominic Driver. He is 52 years old and experienced a seizure a few weeks ago that almost took his life and landed him in the Intensive Care Unit for 11 days. He was in the home depot parking lot and seized up collapsing onto the asphalt. He hit his head so hard he has 2 brain bleeds, staples, swelling of his brain and multiple fractures in his skull. He was diagnosed in the hospital with 3 blood clots. One in his left jugular and one in the base of his brain. While in the ICU his heart rate was unstable and was in the low 20-30’s constantly. He had a blood clot that traveled to his heart causing a blockage and daddy ended up having a pace maker put in to ensure his survival.

This man is the best man I know! He is kind, patient, loving, caring and a dedicated to his work. He has always been there for me through the toughest of times, he has never given up on me. This man is a wonderful husband, brother, uncle and son. He is a phenomenal father and an even better grandpa.

 

Today, daddy’s brain bleeds have absorbed into his body but he is still unable to work. He is on blood thinners and shots in the stomach for his clots, and seizure medications to control the seizures. He is currently not able to drive and the traumatic brain injury has caused daily living tasks to be incredibly challenging. My mother, his wife of 34 years, is currently home caring for my father as he needs help to shower, cook, and eat, etc.  Daddy is in a wheel chair right now learning how to walk again.  Daddy has a long road to recovery that will keep him out of work for an undetermined amount of time and we could use all the love, support and prayers possible. I am hopeful to raise some money to help him and my mother, Melissa Driver, get through these hard times. Daddy’s medicine alone costs $350 a month and they just keep adding to what he is already taking. We understand that this is a hard time for everyone and we appreciate any financial assistance that you can provide to help relieve some of the strain this accident has caused.
