Our family has suffered a great loss. Uzi lost his battle against Covid yesterday, August 15th. He was a dedicated father and hard working provider for the family. He is survived by Samatha Dilloway and his 3 children, Alex, Madison, and his namesake Liam Uzziah.
Uzi was a respected man. Often playing with his kids or watching sports. All of the children are active in sports because of Uzi's encouragement. He was often gone for work for days so when he was home he was all about spending time with his family.
Uzi fought Covid for almost a month in the hospital. He was placed on a ventilator a few days before he passed. His last conversation with Samantha was full of fear and hope. To not be able to be there holding hands with loved ones through this is the hardest part of Covid. We were all with him in spirit.
Unfortunately, Uzi had lost his long time job doing security last year due to the pandemic. We must all be thankful for the family time he got before finding a new job. He had not been there long enough to get health or life insurance.
Samantha and the children will need as much support as they can get. They never married although they were together since she was only 19. She recently started nursing school and was working in a hospital. She has not worked since Uzi was hospitalized.
My mother in law has stepped in to make arrangements and care for the children. They will all need therapy and most likely need to move soon. I am left with few words at this time as I have been asked to assist with Uzi's memorial.
Please understand that we are all a mix of emotions right now. Any donations will directly be used for the funeral and expenses to help Samantha and the kids.
