You may have seen this on the Central Iowa news on Christmas Day...

Shadley just moved back to Des Moines from Los Angeles to help take care of his mom. He bought a house, they moved in together, and on Christmas Day they had a house fire. They're now living in a hotel until the house can be repaired, which may take months.

They've only been in their new house for a few weeks and haven't even finished unpacking yet.

It appears as if insurance will cover much of the material loss, but this GoFundMe has been set up to help cover the costs of insurance deductibles and incidental expenses while they are not able to be in their own home.
