Hi everyone,
My auntie’s life, Gigi-Carmen,is hanging on a tightrope. She was diagnosed a few days ago with a rare form of soft tissue cancer with potential metastases in both lungs. Her chances of survival are less than 16%. That’s a lot compared to 0. Nobody should count chances of life in percentages.
She just turned 50 and she’s still dreaming of dancing at her boys weddings in the distant future. Cristian,the 17 years old older child and her husband Catalin are asking for help with their shaking voices and their hearts screaming of helplessness.
The almost 14 years old youngest child is just trying to wipe his mother’s tears,thinking that she’s suffering from thrombophlebitis but that she can get cured. He is an extremely empathetic,sensitive child that could barely process the loss of his parakeet a few months ago. There is no way that he can take the news of his mother being sick or even worse to accept the idea that they could lose her.
My aunt,Gigi-Carmen,is one of the most intelligent,kind and humble persons that I ever talked to. She is a dedicated mother,a role-model for me and for everyone who knows her. She is a young and cheerful soul now in a sick body. She still has so much to share,to teach,to see,to learn,to love.
There is no way that she can see anything besides her children and her family as a whole even in the most disrupted situations that their lives offered them. She is the kind of person that will never ask for help but rather do everything that’s in her power ,no matter how long it’s going to take,to have the things done. But she has to know that she is not alone. That there are an incredible amount of people who care about her and want to see her on her feet. This is were I humbly ask for your help. This week my uncle will take her to Turkey at Acibadem for the first week treatment. He has enough money for this week but after that they will need an avalanche of financial help that can offer her more than 16% chance to live.
