Madeline's Medical Fund

In 2008 my mom was diagnosed with mixed connective tissue disease. This is an autoimmune disease that effects all of the connective tissue in your body. Over the past 10 years it has caused progressive scaring to her lungs. She is required to sleep with an oxygen tank in order to maintain normal oxygen levels. Her doctors have informed her that if she wants to live she will need a bilateral lung transplant. A lung transplant requires eight full weeks of postoperative care and the hospital requires her to stay six weeks in a hotel room in San Francisco . The expected accumulated expenses for hotel and other medical cost is set to be $15,000-$20,000.  I would be grateful if she can get this done as soon as possible so she can live a more productive life.
