Treatment in Mexico for multiple sclerosis.(HSCT)

My name is Jacqueline and I am asking for help to raise funds for MS treatment.

In 2020 I was pregnant with my 4th child, excited to add to our family but plagued by different symptoms I couldn't put down to pregnancy. Soon after the birth of my youngest son, I was diagnosed with relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis.

At the beginning, the effects were noticable but I was still able to do the things I enjoyed - looking after my children, going places with my family, walking and dancing, even if it was with a limp! However, in the short time since then my condition has progressed rapidly and the treatments offered are not effective at all.

Currently, I am physically limted from most day-to-day activities. I can't do all the things I'd love to with my children, 2 boys and 2 girls aged 12, 10, 5 and 3. My fatigue and brain fog are extreme. The last 2 years have robbed me of most of my indepedence and I need to fight to get some of it back.

The treatment to help me fight this is Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), an intense chemotherapy treatment for MS. It aims to 'reset' the immune system by wiping it out and then regrowing it, using your own stem cells.

HSCT is rarely offered on the NHS, there are very few places available on the UK trials and these are massively oversubscribed but there are clinics around the world that can offer the treatment privately. Clinica Ruiz in Mexico is highly documented as one of the best providers of HSCT.

Unfortunatley, this option comes with a lot of costs - the 28 day treatment in Mexico, travel costs for a required caregiver that must attend with me, medicial reviews both before and after the treatment and more. As much as my family and I are working to save, we do need help to reach the total.
