Hitting rock bottom

Hi, my name is Shane and I am 51 years old. I have been with my husband for 17 years and it has always been my job to support him because of his disability. This has been the worst year of my life. I lost my job and car and have had to restructure everything in my life. I have been working with MDHHS and they have been a great help because of my husband's disability. This is the last thing I ever thought I would do. I am hoping there are some giving people out there to help us in our situation. Over the years I have always paid it forward and helped others in any way I can. This week alone my truck sprung an oil leak and my 16-year-old cat died. I use my vehicle to doordash right now to try to make ends meet. Weekly I wait 4 hours in line at the Forgotten Harvest in Oak Park on Wednesday to get food. I have to believe there are people out there who will help us get back on our feet. We do not do drugs in case everyone wonders. I promise to use the money for expenses only and will hang on to every receipt in case one asks. Please help us. If we lose our home I think it would devastate my husband because of his disability. I don't think he could handle it. I promise when I get back on my feet I will pay it forward. Please no judging, lectures, or unkindness as I am at a fragile point in my life.
