USNA Dad 100% Loss Hurricane Harvey

I (a former Baltimore, MD Navy wife, Ombudsman, and Naval Academy supporter and best friends with Andy) am starting this fund for a USNA Navy Dad that has lost everything due to flooding in Hurricane Harvey. He lives in Texas with his 90 year old mother. They moved there in 1969 and have never experienced flooding all those years. His house and possessions as well as his vehicle are total losses.
All 3 of his sons are Naval Academy graduates and are serving our country both in the aviation community and surface warfare. He serves by volunteering as a Blue & Gold Information Officer mentoring young men and women in the arduous application process of the United States Naval Academy.  He teaches at a local technical community college and is passionate about equipping our future civilian leaders by teaching psychology and statistics using a cross disciplinary critical thinking model that his students can use the rest of their lives.
This money WILL be used to begin restoration of his home, computer, clothes and securing a new vehicle. Nothing can replace the years of his building a library and memories of the past, but financial assistance can help him start anew. In addition, GoFundMe is working with the Direct Impact Fund, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to quickly deliver tax-deductible donations to verified campaigns that benefit victims.
