I’m beyond excited to announce that I’ve been selected to the USA U18s 7s Training Squad to compete in the Youth Olympic Games Qualifier in Las Vegas from February 23rd through March 3rd! I would really appreciate your support to help get me there. Like the main Olympic games, the Junior Olympics happen only once every four years and in 2018 it will just happen to be in my family’s home country of Argentina.
The extended team consists of 18 players, but in the days leading up to the start of the tournament it will be cut down to 13 players. The final team will compete against Canada, Mexico, Jamaica, and Argentina. The next two days the USA team will compete to qualify for a spot in the Junior Olympics in October. Even though this is a U18 team, I am only 16 years old and am honored to be the youngest player named to the squad. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I am very excited to participate in.
However, participation on the USA team is not free and over the past year I have already played for the U16 Eagle Impact Rugby Academy team that faced the province of Ontario this summer and tried out for the All-American team in Arizona in December. I would love to be able to help my parents with the cost of the trip. All donations will go to help cover team gear, hotel cost, and plane tickets. If you can help out even just a little I would appreciate it immensely. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me.
Thank you very much,
