US Marine stabbed on Veteran's Day

Donation protected
At about 0500 hours on Veteran's Day police were called to a residence in St Albans, VT where Nick Luciano was found lying on a blood-soaked bed bleeding profusely from multiple stab wounds. Nick was first transported to Northwestern Medical Center and then to UVM Medical Center shortly after. Nick had multiple surgeries to repair the carotid artery in his neck. He is currently off the breathing tube and able to breathe on his own.

At this time the prognosis for recovery is unknown and anything will help to cover Nick's medical bills and cost of living while he recovers from these life threatening injuries. I will update when more information is available.

Chad Boudreau, Nick's best friend will be handling all donations and making sure everything goes directly to Nick and his family.  Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and shared.

Updated information as of 11/15/2019:

Nick had a stroke and is still unable to move the left side of his body.  He was able to leave ICU today which is huge.  He has a feeding tube in his stomach so he can start to get some nutrition and he should be able to start physical therapy next week. Physical therapy is going to be a long process and the extent of recovery is still unknown at this time.

We are increasing the donation goal as the injuries and recovery is far worse than I had originally known.
