Urgent Surgery for Solly

Hi all, we are looking to kickstart a fundraiser to help Solly. He needs urgent spinal surgery to fix some damaged discs and alleviate the pain, as well as restore full function to his left leg. Currently, he is bedridden & cannot use his left leg much and needs to have the surgery ASAP!
For those who don't know Solly, he is a 48yr old male, currently living in Singapore. He has coached across the world and has played an integral role in developing some of the top international hockey athletes.
In his own words, "The most enjoyable part of what I do is helping others grow, and succeed as part of the various programs. I love watching young athletes progress and achieve.
"I was recently diagnosed with severe nerve impingement in the spine which has me bedridden and sustained on painkiller medication.
I urgently require surgery to alleviate the pressure on the nerves and hopefully restore functionality in mobility, and also live without pain. The situation is urgent as I currently am partially lame in the left leg with constant pain.
Without surgery soonest, there is a risk I may incur lasting damage which would further affect my ability to work as an active and vibrant coach.
2020 has been a year that has pretty much wiped out my reserves and I urgently need to raise funds to be able to have the surgery asap, before any nerve damage becomes lasting.
I truly appreciate and value any contribution, especially in these tough times, and thank you all in advance for your consideration and contribution."
My name is Jonathon Petterson, based in Perth, Australia. I met Solly just on 20 years ago and become friends through our shared hockey passion and general love of sport
Funds raised would be used to cover Surgeon & consultants costs (approximately $25,000), Hospitalisation, Theatre, Medications (approximately $20,000), and post op rehab and care (approximately $10,000). We will draw down on funds progressively once we hit the first target of $36,000.
At this stage, the first procedure can be carried out to have the discectomy at L4/L5, free the trapped nerves and repair the discs at L2, L3 and S1. Following the outcome of this procedure, the surgeons will decide on the next steps, at which stage we will draw down on the balance amount.
