Urgent: Support Destiny Whitaker's Education

hi! I'm Lou Jent, a Disability Advocate, and I have a family member who needs YOUR help because housing could be lost TOMORROW, 1/22/25, if we don't raise $1970 - can you give what you can and share?

My twenty-three year-old cousin, Destiny Whitaker is in the second year of a bachelor's program at ECU (Eastern Carolina University), and just transitioned to dorm living January 10. During the week of January 13, classes began, and Destiny and her loved ones were also informed that because of the Special CIrcumestances Ammendment filed on the FAFSA, all aid was paused until an Independent Verification of Destiny's Financial Independence could take place.

Although the school has received the necessary papwerwork, today, January 21, we were informed that Destiny must make the first of five $1970 payment by tomorrow or IMMEDIATELY withdraw from classes and IMMEDIATELY evacuate the dorms.

No emergency aid has been offered to Destiny, despite the fact that we have made multiple requests to the financial aid office, cashier, ECU Cares, and the Student Disability office. Once the initial goal of $1970 is met and Destiny's housing is secure, the funds will continue to pay for the ongoing payment plan until financial aid is secured. THANK YOU!!
