Our son Cas achieved a milestone moment in his life—he made a Junior A team. 2 months into it, everything changed. Severe lower-back pain, nerve tingling, and numbness have doctors now suspecting spondylolisthesis with nerve compression, a condition that can worsen quickly and may cause permanent nerve damage if not diagnosed and treated early.
Cas said it best:
“I finally made a Junior A team at 16… and now I can’t even skate, walk, or move without pain. I just want to know what’s wrong so I can get back to doing what I love and being normal again.”
He has a doctor’s requisition for an MRI, but in Calgary the wait is 6–18 months. For an active nerve-compression injury, waiting that long simply isn’t safe. A private MRI—costing $800–$1,200 CAD—is the only way to get the answers now before lasting damage occurs.
Our healthcare system is overwhelmed, and right now Cas has fallen into that gap. If you can help, even a little, it will go directly toward getting him the urgent MRI he needs to protect his future—on and off the ice.
All funds will be used to pay for his MRI
Thank you for supporting Cas during one of the hardest moments of his young career.
Brad, Cas, and Family
