Urgent plea: help my family evacuate from Gaza

My name is Marwa, I’m a single mom in Gaza. I am writing with a heavy heart to inform you about the dire situation my family is facing in Gaza. The ongoing war, leaving our lives in ruins.

My family consists of 32 members, including 18 children under the age of 16. We are currently living in tents, with no access to clean water, electricity, food, schools, or even homes. Our once thriving city has been completely devastated, and we have been forced to evacuate from the north to the south in search of safety.

I am reaching out for help because my family is currently located in the north of Gaza, and they are struggling to access basic needs such as food and water, especially during the month of Ramadan. As our financial situation is dire, we are unable to purchase these necessities ourselves. Any assistance, even just basic needs, would be greatly appreciated until we are able to gather enough funds to evacuate from Gaza. I am particularly concerned for my grandchildren , who have disabilities and are in urgent need of help, but are also suffering from lack of food and resources. Your support would mean the world to us during this difficult time.

Unfortunately, our new living situation is a stark contrast to what it used to be. The tents provide no protection from the relentless heat or the rains, and the lack of medical support and shelter is a daily concern. Our children, who are doctors and engineers, are now without work and unable to provide for their families.

The cost of evacuating each family member from Gaza to Egypt is approximately $5,000. However, if we have to wait for between 2 weeks and 21 days, the total cost will be $160,000. Additionally, we need $20,000 to cover our basic needs during this difficult time.

This amount in USD dollars it’s around CAD 240,000.
