URGENT HELP! for Moe's Animal Rescue Shelter Beirute Lebanon

Dear Humans,

I don´t even know how to beggin this story, i only know that i have to do something to help Moe and his 170 rescued dogs from the streets of Lebanon.

The text will take about 5 minutes of your precious time, but it can make a huge difference to Moe and his dogs, at least that's what I hope for.

Moe Dogge Animal Rescue Shelter is a Non Profit Organization shelter that does incredible work with the animals it rescues from the streets of Lebanon. This country is not exactly gentle when it comes to animal care, there is still a lot of cruelty in human beings when it comes to treating other living beings. This is ingrained in their culture: people see animals as painless objects, as labour assets, which, if they can't even work, are discarded on the streets, beaten, mutilated, shoted and assaulted in every possible and imaginary way.

I learnt about this shelter a few months ago when I came across a post on Instagram about a particular rescued dog named Otto. The description of this boy´s life and his rescue left me speechless, heartbroken and crying compulsively. I was so profoundly touched by Otto´s story that i quickly ran into the shelter´s page to check all other posts, and i got even more shocked after checking all the rescued animals stories that Moe makes... I had no doubt, i had to help him somehow within my possibilities.

In Portugal, when we can't adopt more animals for our homes, one of the ways we can help the institutions is to sponsor one or more animals from the shelters, providing for their monthly needs (food & health care) until they eventually get adopted. So, being thousands of miles away from Otto, and Otto being in the situation he is of emotional suffering disguised as fear for humans, needing a lot of time to recover his internal wounds and his faith in humans again, I had no doubts and immediately sponsored Otto miles away from me. Every month I make a donation for Otto's needs, and whenever possible I send a little more to help other animals at the shelter because Moe's monthly needs are many in a country that lacks everything and as if that wasn't enough is now in the middle of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Moe is an incredible being, mostly an Angel in a land of war. His love for dogs made him drop everything and dedicate himself, his time, his life to rescuing, caring for, recovering and trying to find the animals a forever home (which you all can imagine, it´s not easy from Lebanon), so they can live as they were meant for, make our Human´s life PRECIOUS.

When I asked Moe to describe his choice in life, here’s his exact words:

Hey ana I hope you have a good day I have 170 dogs and this I have been running this shelter for over 4 years I start this because my love to the dogs and they don't have any help in street no food or shade from the sun and rain I have make this shelter for my dogs and now we have over 170 dogs my dogs usually get adopted to United Kingdom and USA We have 2 workers and we depend on donations to run this shelter Unfortunately non of my cats get adopted I have many cats I don't count because we have big garden at home and they live there and every day there is new cats Most of my dogs I rescue have stories who been batterd and hit and abuse and torture I had very nice shelter with amazing floor and unfortunately I had to leave it last year because the land lord don't want it again so we had to move to the mountains.

This inspiring young man work touched me very deeply, his courage and his strength are unmeasurable. I know there´s hundreds, if not more, of Moe´s throughout the world, but this Moe “came” to me for a reason and that reason is so that I can help in any way I can.

Apart from all the monthly struggle to raise enough money to cover all the expenses that the shelter requires, Moe is now about to reach the end of the lease for the space in the mountains where his shelter is located. It expires in September. His dream is to be able to buy a piece of land to relocate his shelter and no longer have to pay the monthly rent, which will give him more cash flow to care for the animals needs on a monthly basis.

He is trying to raise enough money to do this, among his supporters and by fundraising on social media where he was able to raise so far USD 16 654, but he still lacks USD 23 346.

All donations are crucial now, which is why I've decided to enrol his Shelter into gofundme compaign as well, to try to reach more help.

It is imperative that Moe manages to raise the full 40K to buy the land until end August, otherwise in September he will be forced to make a new renting contract of at least + 8 to 12 months and that money has to be taken of the alkready 16K raised so far, wich will make his life a bit more difficult ☹.
