Urgent Help for Claire's Funeral

Our amazing friend Claire passed away last week, following a hard fought battle in the Freeman Hospital Newcastle, where she had a heart transplant on 20th July 2017. The weeks following her transplant were what can only be described as a rollercoaster ride of struggle, improvements, tears and laughter, even up to Sunday of last week where she was having physio and was making massive progress! Unfortunately on that Monday her condition took a turn for the worse and she passed away on the morning of Tuesday 19th September. This was due to an acute bowel infarction and complications with the heart transplant for congenial heart disease.

Claire's wife (of less than 15 weeks!) Celli, stayed at the hospital throughout this whole process, getting married there (which was a beautiful ceremony), eating sleeping & living in Newcastle for however long her wife needed her to, being away from family & friends back in Wigan for almost 9 weeks. Celli has not only lost her partner of almost 8 years, her one and only, her soulmate, but she now has the added worry of trying to pay for a funeral, or a Goodbye Party as Claire would have liked it called! 

Celli is an absolute inspiration to me, and when speaking to her about all of this I just knew I needed to help in some way. Celli has given me permission to set up this page, under duress I might add, and I'd like to ask if any of our family, friends, or anyone else who can find it in their hearts to help contribute to this wonderful lady's funeral costs, please do! She deserves the best and my friend Celli certainly does not deserve what she's going through right now, so if we can alleviate at least a little of the stress that’s on her shoulders right now I’ll be happy!
