Urgent help for Chris Hall

Our friend Chris Hall is in need of a Christmas miracle. His mother died unexpectedly just before Thanksgiving, leaving him responsible for his special needs brother. Chris has some health issues which affect his employability. He works as a substitute teacher and tutor, which allows him to support himself, but he has had to spend a lot of time traveling from his home in Lexington to his mother's home in Eastern Kentucky to help his family, which has further limited his ability to work. He is now behind on his rent, and in danger of losing his apartment at the end of December.

Chris will soon be bringing his brother to Lexington to live with him. He is in the process of exploring resources to help them both, but that takes time.

Chris is the first to help others in their time of need and now he's the one who needs help. Many of you know him as the face of the Friends of the Library in their bookstore at the Lexington Public Library. He has volunteered as a regular cashier there for a number of years. You'll also recognize him from his volunteer work as a cashier at the Friends book sales each year.

Please help Chris as he confronts these new challenges. Because his mother's death was so sudden, there was no plan in place for his brother's future. Like the rest of us, Peggy thought she had time.
