Urgent Evacuation-Journalist Ahmad Ghanim & Family

I am Journalist Ahmad Ghanim. I would like to call upon your humanity to help me and my family evacuate a prison we have been in for all our lives but now this prison is on fire under constant bombardment of high tech bombs which are blowing our people, our elderly our children, our loved ones, our babies to pieces.

Although initially not wanting to leave our motherland and the land of the holy prophets. After witnessing with my own eyes the death and devastation and seeing friends murdered and blown to pieces, children die of cold, screaming children having limbs amputated with no anaesthetic, starvation killing the elderly and diseases spreading like wildfire. After the whole of Gaza has been reduced to a sliver of land where 1 bomb would kill thousands I am now, not as confidant that my decision is the correct one. I can not bare to see my children die of cold or starvation or freeze to death or live like orphans, I can’t bare to see my parents suffer a fate similar to the many elderly I have seen. So I am ready to leave a land which was once my home in the hope that my children have life and one day we can return. But if they have no life no land will satisfy me.

This evacuation fundraiser is for my parents, my entire family, my mother, my brother, my sister, her family, and my nephews, whose father my brother was killed by the occupation during the 2014 war, in addition to my wife and children.

Even if ceasefire occurs the humanitarian conditions are such that this area is no way safe for my family in any way, corpses rot on every corner, diseases are spreading like wildfire and starvation is rife. I need my family to leave for safety ceasefire or not so they remain healthy and well enough so I can they can return when I start the rebuild of my house and this situation resolves.

People of the world I beg your humanity, because I experienced the feeling of loss and deprivation when I lost my big brother Muhammad, who was martyred in 2014. At that time, the family and I suffered a great shock, and we still remember his beautiful life, his joy, his smile, his jokes his love and his laughs. I cannot fathom the unbearable pain we went through after losing my brother and I fear if I stay here that I will lose everyone.

I would like to evacuate my entire family from Gaza because I cannot live without them, and as a journalist I do not want to live just to convey the news that someone has been harmed or murdered or brutally maimed having no ability to help these innocent people. Damaged for the rest of their lives. I have shown the world more than enough and yet this still isn’t stopping.

My family deserves life. My patient father, my patient mother, and my brothers and sisters all deserve to live with love, away from the danger of death, shells, and missiles.

I want to meet all of them again without losing anyone, so I want to evacuate them so that I can do my job, as I work under great anxiety and stress for them.

I need your help your humanity to save me from the pain I can see is inevitable and help me leave so I can at least have some life some hope some joy some security even if it is for the last few days of my life.

I have full faith you will help with my mission to save the lives of my family. Its all we have left until we can return again to build our home.
