Urgent Dental Surgery for Tsubodai

This is my senior cat, Mooshum Tsubodai Brighteyes. He was adopted by me from Furry Friends, a no-kill shelter around Barrie, ON on my sister's birthday some years ago . He was found on the streets, alone, underweight, but clearly he had been someone's pet.
He spent 18 months at the shelter, and was about to be categorized as "unadoptable" when I fell in love with this peridot-eyed, sweet-natured purr machine. We know nothing about his history, or how old he is.
He beat the worst case of worms my vet had ever seen. He loves visitors, purrs hard, and has seen me through some of the hardest times of my life. Now he needs my help...and yours.
Cutbacks by the current Ontario Ford government have gutted my work. I am unable to afford my own dental care, but Tsubodai has at least one rotting tooth which has been severely affecting his ability to chew his food. He's not playing much, but just sleeps or curls up on me for comfort. I have to coax him to purr. It was by chance that I saw him yawn and could see the horrible blackness around a back molar.
His dental work is anticipated to cost between $1200 and $1500!! I don't have a fraction of that. Could you find it in your heart to help my Old Man? Any amount helps. If you can't afford to donate towards his surgery, would you please consider sharing this link? He's a survivor, and had a rough few years. I want him to be comfortable and pampered, as he deserves.
