Urgent Appeal for Support: Help a Photogr

"I am Mahdi Zourob, a passionate photographer from Gaza. The genocidal war waged by the occupation on Gaza has impacted everything in my life. Since the beginning of the war, I have lost many friends.

I had a real dream that I was pursuing despite all the difficult circumstances before the war robbed it from me. I used to love photographing food, cars, people, and everything beautiful I saw in Gaza, but the war forced me to portray the image and suffering of the people and their stories through my page.

Despite losing my father 23 years ago and my mother 13 years ago, I have remained determined to convey the message despite the dire circumstances.

As difficult and painful as the decision was for me, here I am trying to complete my message and convey it to the outside world. The occupation has left us with no other choice. Death surrounds us from every side, and our days pass in anticipation and fear of the unknown.

I have created this link, seeking support and assistance. To help my family leave Gaza and escape the specter of death that haunts us every second, in hopes of finding a better and more just life, and to sit under a safe roof like the rest of the people abroad. It is a search for an ordinary life and ordinary dreams, no more and no less.

Together, we can do it. To help me save my family's lives, as they, like everything else in Gaza now, are threatened with extinction.
