Urgent Aid for Robinson Family's Medical and Living Expenses

Hello, my name is Debbie Lyn Robinson and me and my family are in great need of help. In Sept of '24, my husband, Larry, collapsed getting ready for work. He had a stroke. He was the family's main breadwinner because 8 years ago I started showing signs of a condition similar to fibromyalgia, linked to genetics and stress. We had just got my condition under control and out of debt. Larry is a veteran and was a bit of a networking guru. His work of 10 years and insurance at first helped, putting him on short-term disability. About a month into his disability, his job dropped him as did the insurance, leaving us with no help from doctors or medicine for his condition. I turned to the VA for help and was told yes, we can help you. He worked the flight line from time to time at Langley, in Kuwait, and in Korea, and his exposure to toxic jet fuel fumes could very much have contributed to his condition. Basically, fill out forms, take him to doctors all over central TX, and wait. He does now have a doctor's care and meds but was denied everything else. So now it's appeal time, with savings gone. Our 19-year-old son stepped up and got his first job and has been doing all that he can since his father's collapse, spending little to nothing on himself, all going to the family, but it's not enough to cover rent and bills. Myself, losing the insurance from Larry's job means I have no coverage or way to go to the doctor or get the meds I need. I've been off my Synthroid for a month, and I'm getting weaker and sick because of it. Stress levels are causing my conditions to flare and become uncontrolled again. It's hard to get to a doctor without insurance when you're not sure if you'll make rent, and if we don't have an address, we look to lose the help for Larry that took over 6 months to get in place. Larry isn't going to recover. Last week his mental evaluation came in: dementia at 54. My husband and partner is gone, replaced by a man that just giggles, can barely walk, watches TV, and cusses us out when we try and get him to do his therapy. It's hard, every day is a struggle, and I'm breaking down a little more every day. Since I can't go out, Larry can't be left alone for very long, and work like I used to, I have been sending out my resume for remote work but so far nothing. Also, I have gone to social services, but all that takes time we don't have. We are in need of financial help while the VA and SSDI go through their processes. In 7 days our rent will be due, and we are short over $1,000, bills are past due, and I have nowhere else to turn but to the charity of strangers. So I'm begging anyone out there that can help us, please help my family.
