Funds for Francis

Our friend and long time Oakland A's grounds keeper Francis Matthews was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer last week. This is not his first battle with the disease, Francis has been a long time survivor of colon cancer. While scared, nervous and unsure of his situation; Francis is prepared to fight and defeat this terrible disease again. He will be starting an aggressive chemotherapy program today to kill the existing tumors and stop additional growth. I am raising funds immediately to help Francis cover any medical expenses that may not be included by insurance and ancillary costs that arise during his fight. Any amount you can give would be greatly appreciated and if you are not in a position to donate, please keep Francis and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
