Supporting Blue sleeping rough

Those of you who live in Brighton probably know who I am talking about with this one. There is a very lovely man called Blue who sits outside H&M in town with his bulldog Frankie. I have known Blue for around 4 years, possibly longer. A few years back during Covid he and Frankie were taken off the streets by a hostel and have been living in the hostel ever since, however still having to make enough money on the streets for food & funding the hostel.

He was told just before Christmas that the hostel is having to shut down due to not being able to keep up with paying for the maintenance of the building. Therefore Blue, Frankie and around 30 others will be homeless again. The date for this has now been brought forward to the 22nd of March.

I am urgently trying to help Blue with collecting items that he and Frankie will need when this time comes.

Items required:

- Kit bag/ camping bag

- Waterproof tent

- Gas stove & canisters

- Coat/ waterproofs

- Sleeping bag

- Blankets

If you are in town and happen to pass Blue then stop and say hello, have a chat, give him a smile, get him some food or a hot drink. He’s really lovely as is Frankie.
