My Up With People World Tour

Hello, my name is Isaac Russell and I have been selected to join Up With People starting in July. Up With People is a non-profit performance and education touring group that travels around the world helping communities through volunteer service as well as a musical performance in each city they visit to help create a hopeful, trusting, and peaceful world through the power of music.
During my time with Up With People I will be performing in their show but the most important part to me is making an impact through over 200 hours of volunteer service throughout the course of the semester as well as learning as much as I can about the cultures I visit. I am planning to do an internship with the technical staff team, working with them to light the show, make sure the technical items all work, setting lights and speakers up, learning about the lights and sound boards and how the team prepares for the show.
The tour starts in July 2018 and lasts for four months. They start with a four to five week orientation in Denver Colorado, at the end of that, they start touring! they start in the U.S.A with three or four tours around the US. They then move on to Mexico where they spend the next month or two touring to cities and working there. After that they head off the the other side of the world, Europe! Once there, they will spend the rest of their world tour, touring various cities and working as volunteers. They spend most of the week doing service projects throughout the community they are in, with the performance at the end of the week.
I ask that you support this trip of a lifetime in the best way that you can. Whether that be donating as much as you can, sharing the link of this page on facebook, or messaging me on facebook with other ideas you may have to raise money. Please keep in mind that you can give at various times, donating a few bucks here and there. I am doing what I like to call “Ten dollar Tuesdays” and “Five dollar Fridays.” Now, ten or five dollars really isn’t a whole lot, but it adds up over time. Think of it like this: Let’s say you decide to donate $5 on a Friday once a week or maybe every other week. If you donate $5 every other week, after only 2 months, that’s $30 including first donation. Every Tuesday and Friday I’ll post this link to facebook. On ten dollar Tuesdays donate $10 or multiples of ten, on Fridays it’s $5 or multiples of five. If you are unable to donate now, do not worry, there will be plenty of opportunities in the future. If you donate to my campaign you may request a date between August and the beginning of January and I will send you a postcard from wherever I am as well as photos I’ve taken of the trip thus far. You may also request that I send you pictures from the full tour at the end. Also, you can choose to sponsor a day of my tour which will be around $115 dollars if you would like to do that.
