"Up & Adam!"

Sunday, Feb. 4th, Adam Fisher was in a traumatic accident that resulted in head and brain trauma. Upon scans, he had a 15mm brain bleed, fractured skull & was placed on sedated life support in critical condition.

Sunday afternoon, Adam underwent brain surgery removing the hematoma. Surgery was completed as hoped. His platelets were low, which was of concern following surgery, and kept on watchful eye. He remained on a vent the remainder of the evening into Monday.

Monday morning, Adam did wake up.

PRAISE THE LORD!

He was unable to speak due to the breathing tube, has no memory of the incident, but was able to write up a storm, asking many questions! Many of which we can't answer for him.

His breathing tube was removed Monday afternoon, and he was able to speak. He does have some speech aphasia, which has been frustrating for him. He either can't think of the word he needs, uses the wrong word, or latches onto a word and uses it repeatedly.

He is unable to hear out of his right ear (same side as his skull fracture). The doctor said it’s going to be a long road to recovery; Possibly 2 months in the hospital before moving to a rehab facility.

He has made INCREDIBLE strides in the most recent 3 days, and the doctors feel he's progressed medically to a point they feel he no longer requires 'critical' care, transferring him out of Neuro ICU to a regular medical floor.

Adam has a journey ahead of him. He will be out of work, and medical expenses abundant.
