Dear citizen of the world, you are reading those words because we need you to help us being super-heroes of human rights and human dignity.
You are probably thinking, sceptical, "but who are those pseudo-world-saviors"?
Well, we are a group of students of the University of Padova, in Italy, studying human rights and multi-level govenrnance, and we created "United for Nepal" to raise funds to help for the reconstruction of the Shree Koldaung Devi Secondary School in the Sindhupalchok region, which was destroyed during the earthquake of 2015.
You probably remember that earthquake which was aaall over the news, and there is a good reason for that! Not only did it killed and injuried tousands of people, but this earthquake destroyed about 95% of buildings and 60% of health centers in Sindhupalchok, the epicenter of the earthquake.
"Oh, sounds pretty bad"
Yes it does! This is the reason why we will give every single penny-euro-dollar-crown-rupee we will find to Sagarmatha International Foundation, which has been active since 2011 in the Sindhupalchok region of Nepal in different fields, providing educational, sanitary and agricultural support. Each year, we go on a educational travel to Nepal to deliver the funds collected and school material.

"So, you are telling me that I can help, right?"
Not only can you help, but moreover, your help is much more important than you think! It has a direct impact on the advancement of the reconstruction and on the access to education for the children. Your contribution will have the very concrete form of a brick in the new wall of the school, of a chalk board, of a mathematic book. Even the smallest donation has an impact, all put together, your contributions can change the every-day life of many pupils.

Probabilmente sarai scettico al riguardo, e ti starai chiedendo chi siamo e cosa facciamo!
Siamo un gruppo di studenti del corso Diritti Umani e Governance Multi-Livello presso l’Università degli Studi di Padova, in Italia. Abbiamo creato il gruppo “Uniti per il Nepal” per raccogliere fondi destinati alla ricostruzione della scuola Shree Kolddaung nella regione di Sindhupalchok, pesantemente distrutta dal terremoto del 2015.
Sicuramente ti ricorderai di quel terremoto: la vicenda, data la sua entità, fu seguita da tutti i telegiornali e giornali nazionali! Il terremoto non solo uccise e ferì migliaia di persone, ma distrusse anche il 95% delle infrastrutture e il 60% dei centri ospedalieri in Sindhupalchok, epicentro della catastrofe.
Starai pensando alle ripercussioni di questa tragedia naturale!
Ed è proprio per questo che doneremo ogni singolo euro-sterlina-dollaro-corona-rupia alla Fondazione Internazionale di Sagarmatha, della regione di Sindhupalchok, attiva sin dal 2011 in vari settori come per esempio Educazione, Sanità e Agricoltura. Ogni anno, tramite l’Università di Padova, un gruppo di studenti ha l’opportunità di partecipare ad un viaggio formativo in Nepal e di consegnare i fondi e il materiale didattico raccolto grazie a questa iniziativa.
“Questo significa che anche io posso aiutare?”
Certo, non solo puoi aiutarci con una piccola donazione, ma la tua partecipazione farà molto di più! Avrà un impatto diretto nei lavori di ricostruzione della scuola media, rendendo perciò l’educazione più accessibile a tutti/e i/le bambini/e della zona. Il tuo contributo avrà letteralmente la forma di un mattone, di una lavagna o di un libro di matematica. Anche solo una piccola donazione avrà un impatto enorme, perché unendo le nostre forze oggi possiamo cambiare la vita quotidiana di tantissimi/e bambini/e in Nepal.

Vous vous dites certainement, un peu sceptique « mais qui sont ces pseudo sauveurs de l’humanité ? »
Nous sommes un groupe d’étudiants de l’Université de Padoue, en Italie, nous étudions les droits de l’homme et nous avons créé « United for Nepal » pour récolter des fonds pour la reconstruction d’une école, l’école Shree Koldaung Devi, dans la région de Sindhupalchok qui a été particulièrement touchée pendant le tremblement de terre de 2015.
Vous vous souvenez sans aucun doute de ce tremblement de terre qui a fait la une pendant des jouuuurs entiers, mais il y a une bonne raison ! Non seulement il a blessé et tué des milliers de personnes, mais il a également détruit 95% des bâtiments et 60% des centres médicaux dans la région de l’épicentre, qui n’est autre que Sindhupalchok.
« Outch, pas joli-joli »
Non, en effet! C’est pour cela que nous reverserons chaque centime-euro-dollar-couronne-roupille que nous collecterons à la fondation Sagarmatha, qui est active dans la région depuis 2011 et apporte son soutien pour l’éducation et l’agriculture, par exemple. Chaque année, nous partons en voyage scolaire au Népal et nous leur apportons les fonds que nous avons récoltés ainsi que du matériel scolaire.
« Et je peux vous apporter mon aide ? »
Bien sûr, et en plus, cette aide est bien plus précieuse que vous ne le pensez ! Elle a impact direct sur l’avancement de la reconstruction et sur l’accès à l’éducation des enfants. Votre contribution prendra la forme concrète d’une brique dans le nouveau mur de l’école, d’un tableau noir ou d’un livre d’écriture. Chaque donation, si petite soit-elle, est un soutien immense et peut véritablement changer le quotidien des élèves.

Probablemente te estarás preguntando quiénes somos y qué queremos hacer.
Somos un grupo de estudiantes de Derechos humanos y gobernanza multinivel de la Universidad de Padova, Italia. Hace algunos años, hemos creado un grupo llamado “United for Nepal” con el fin de recaudar fondos para reconstruir la escuela Shree Koldaung Devi en la region de Sindhupalchok, destruida por el terremoto de 2015.
Probablemente recuerdas ese terremoto, ya que recibió mucha cobertura mediática, y con razón, ya que muchas personas murieron o resultaron heridas. Además, el terremoto destruyó el 95% de edificios y el 60% de centros médicos en Sindhupalchok, la zona del epicentro.
Las consecuencias fueron muy graves para las personas afectadas, y por eso cada centavo, euro, dólar, corona, peso o rupia que consigamos será donado a la Fundación Internacional Sagarmatha, la cual ha estado activa desde 2011 en la región de Sindhupalchok, ofreciendo apoyo en diferentes áreas, como educación, sanidad y agricultura. Cada año, la Universidad de Padua organiza un viaje estudiantil a Nepal y se aprovecha esta ocasión para entregar los fondos recolectados y material educativo.
Entonces, ¿cómo puedes ayudarnos?
Tu ayuda es mucho más importante de lo que te puedas imaginar, tiene un impacto directo en la reconstrucción de la escuela, que para muchos niños y niñas significa su única posibilidad de obtener una educación. Tu contribución podrá convertirse tal vez en un bloque de la nueva pared de la escuela, en una pizarra o en un libro de matemáticas. Incluso la más pequeña donación tendrá un gran impacto, y en conjunto, todo lo recaudado podrá cambiar la vida de muchos estudiantes.
