Unemployment Ended but Covid 19 Didn't-Please Help

HI! My name's John and I'm a cartoonist in CA who makes his living from day jobs and has for 20 years. Most recently as the office manager for almost two years for an Oakland home renovation company.

However, like many, Covid19 caused that business to close, and I was on unemployment for some months till it ran out about 3 weeks ago. My savings were enough to cover this month's rent but now I am very scared about this coming month and covering other expenses, or rent again a month from now. Because I'm pretty depleted, and job interviews so far aren't happening.

I hesitated to ask for help because I have been trying to get re-employed instead, but now I realize I do need help in the meantime regardless. And not just for me, but for these critters.
