Uncle Shahzad's Liver Transplant

Our dearest uncle, uncle Shahzad, has been through a worldwind of medical setbacks. Last year, he was unfortunately diagnosed with Hepatitis C. By the grace of God, and through his strength and endurance, he was able to overcome this disease. However, as he was battling the array of symptoms, the prescribed medication took a toll on his body – specifically, his liver. As a result, he is facing the extreme risk of having liver failure, as the liver has already been severely damaged and doctors say it’s a matter of months. His family is currently situated in the outskirts of a rural village in Pakistan. They had hopes and wishes to come to the US, as his small family (himself, his wife, and one son) recently obtained their US Visa. Now, due to these unfortunate circumstances, and his inability to travel because of his current condition, the entire process of coming to the US has been delayed even further. Furthermore, this has also prevented us from obtaining and considering medical treatment in the US.

Liver Transplants are not cheap – our uncle’s procedure will cost approximately $90,000 USD. Their family has resorted to extreme measures of obtaining all of the necessary funds. Their life-savings have been depleted, their house has been sold, and they are now resorting to money that was originally put aside for their only child’s future education. We as a family are taking as much initiative to cover as much as we possibly can. However, the $90,000 goal is only feasible if majority of the funds are generated outside of their family. Taking that into consideration, we have set a goal of $50,000 USD and we are asking anyone and everyone to help reach this goal. We want uncle Shahzad to have a successful liver transplant so he can come to the US and provide for his family and work towards saving for his son’s education. Any amount will help...
