Uncle Rick's Fight Against Cancer

Donation protected
Hi everyone. For those of you that are not aware, my family received some very difficult news regarding my Uncle Rick.  About two years ago, my uncle was given an MRI after being rushed to the hospital when he fainted one day at home. The MRI results showed a tumor on his brain that was surgically removed a few days later. We were told by doctors that if the tumor grew back, it meant that Uncle Rick had cancer. After roughly a year and a half of chemo treaments, radiation, and MRIs, there was another large tumor discovered on the right side of his brain. It was certain now that my Uncle Rick had Glioblastoma (stage 4 brain cancer) and another surgery was required.

As of 8/1/17, my Uncle is going through speech and physical therapy. He is fighting like hell and has surprised all of us with how well his memory is still working just days after his surgery (he reminded me that Eagles training camp started Monday the day he was able to speak six days after his surgery). Although he is my uncle, my family and I view him as way more than that. He is my mom's only brother and has treated my sister and I as if we were two of his own.  Before I moved to Chicago, he (along with my grandmom) joined us for every Christmas morning, attended countless sports games of mine along with nearly every one of my sister's dance recitals, and also taught my sister and me to drive (because my mom was too scared).

In closing, I humbly ask you to please find it in your heart to help my family fight with my uncle against this awful disease.  We all love him more than words can say and are doing everything we can to keep him going; but unfortunately all of these tests, treatments, and surgeries bring along very expensive medical bills. Please know that every single penny we may receive goes a long way and my family greatly appreciates any added help we can get.
