Cristina Munaro is a loving mother who has been quietly dealing with breast cancer all on her own. Cristina has always put her children first in her life. As a divorced mother of three, she had to make many sacrifices in her life to raise her children and would not have wanted it any other way. Because of Cristina’s dedication, her children have grown up in a peaceful, clean, and quiet environment. Isabella (29), Andrea (23), and Emma (17) have been blessed to grow up with her graceful example of how to live a simple and joyful life. May 2022, she reached a point where she could not make it further on her own with this secret. She was finally able to open up to her children about what she had been quietly going through for many painful years. Her children responded by putting their lives on hold to honor their mother and be by her side. There have been many challenges and the older children, Isabella and Andrea, realized that they had to temporarily quit their jobs so they could provide their mother with twenty-four hour care. Cristina had a CAT scan that showed that the cancer had spread and metastasized throughout her body. This news was devastating but Cristina and her family have only become stronger together and will never give up hope. Although many doctors and hospitals have turned her case away, one doctor saw the hope in Cristina and has prescribed a hormone therapy to help slow the cancer. Cristina is an incredibly strong woman who always says, “Everything happens for a reason.” Even while on bedrest and in immense pain she will never stop smiling and asking everyone she sees how they are doing. Her mothering instinct is so strong within her that she is still taking care of her children and comforting them even from bed. While their mother is on bed rest they discovered that replacing her will not be easy and have had to hire a housecleaner, two nurses, and a doctor to help around the house and provide their mother care. Along with the children, this team has come together to help Cristina to realize that she does not have to go through this alone. This wonderful team of people who love and care about her, will do anything to make her comfortable. They have been facing these challenges as a family and have now reached a point where it is necessary to ask for help from their community. Andrea and Isabella have stepped up to support their family financially and have begun paying not only for medical bills but also house bills, groceries, phone bills, …etc. They also have to provide care for their younger sister Emma who just turned seventeen. Andrea and Isabella love their family and have been dutifully providing for everyone but it is not sustainable and their savings will be depleted at this rate in the next two months. For these reasons, they are asking for help from their community to come along side them to support their amazing Mamma Cristina. They wake up grateful every morning for all of the love and prayers being sent to them. The donations will be used to provide twenty-four hour medical support for Mamma Cristina as well as for her new hormone-therapy prescription. They are so blessed and will never give up hope. Cristina è una donna incredibilmente forte che è convinta che “ogni cosa succede per un motivo”. Nonostante sia allettata e vivendo dolori inimmaginabili, continua a sorridere a tutti e a chiedere come stanno, confortando i figli dal suo letto ospedaliero. Per aiutare la famiglia ad affrontare il momento difficile, hanno dovuto richiedere l’aiuto di due infermiere, un dottore, una donna delle pulizie. Grazie a questa squadra sono arrivati fino a qui, ma ora Isabella e Andrea, che hanno supportato economicamente la famiglia per le spese alimentari e mediche, non riuscendo più a lavorare, prevedono che i loro risparmi finiranno entro il prossimo mese, non potendosi più permettere le cure di cui la madre ha bisogno. Per questo motivo, chiedono aiuto alla comunità per supportare mamma Cristina. Ogni giorno sono sorpresi dall’amore dimostrato e dalle preghiere ricevute.
