Hospitality & Evangelization at UMBC
The Catholic Retrievers are a campus ministry community at UMBC led by our chaplain, Fr. John Rapisarda with our staff Becky (Pastoral Associate) and Tess (Ministry Coordinator).
We aim to provide two Masses a week for our students with dinner following to allow for fellowship time and getting to know each other. Our staff also organizes events, manages student involvement, hosts retreats, cooks meals and leads discussions on campus with our students.
Campus Ministry is so important to the evangelization effort because it is extremely common for college life to pull students away from the faith; many never to return to the Church. It is our goal to provide a Catholic Community on campus for spiritual formation as well as an opprotunity to build meaningful relationships during these crucial four years.
We need your help to support all of our different areas of our ministry. Please consider donating to ensure that Campus Ministry at UMBC can thrive!
