Bill's Cancer Treatment Fund

I recently have been diagnosed with Stage 2 Prostate cancer. After having all the necessary tests done, I opted to start with Hormonal Therapy and I recieved my injection on October 6th.  Hormone Therapy decreases the amount of testoserone in your body. Testoserone feeds cancer so it is better to eliminate it for awhile. The bone scan revealed that as of yet it has not spread at this point. The radiation markers were put in place.  In my case, the less expensive option of radiation seeds can not be used because my cancer has formed on the outside of the prostate. That being said, I will be recieving 9 weeks of radiation 5 days a week. Once the treatments are over, I have to have another set of scans to determine if the cancer is gone. I see the Radiation Oncologist on Wednesday afternoon. They will tell me when my next scan will be and when radiation treatments start. After speaking with the Oncologist, the insurance company, and Lakeland Hollis Cancer Center, my out of pocket cost for treatment will be in the neighborhood of $12000 to $15000. I never realized that these treatments could be so costly. I was expecting about a third of that. All raised funds will go directly towards radiation, scans, and all medication during my treatment as well as other necessary treatments, especially while I am in the donut hole. Because of the costs associated these treatments, I will again be in the donut hole the second week of January. I want to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation in your reviewing this and considering a donation, no matter how small it is. I know my goal is alot, however it will really assist me with paying for the treatment since I am on a limited budget.
