Dr Andriy Boyko, a Ukrainian born Australian Doctor, will be travelling to Europe to provide critical medical support and rapid medical response supplies to Ukrainians affected by the current conflict.

Dr Boyko previously worked in refugee health on Christmas Island and with Australian refugee resettlement programs. Using his local knowledge and Ukrainian contacts Dr Boyko has organised a medical supply chain through Europe to safely bring medicine and essential medical needs to Ukrainians in need. The funds will be exclusively used for medical supplies and humanitarian assistance.  As a result of local knowledge and contacts he is able to react quickly to the dynamic needs of the situation responding to most urgent needs of the local health sector.

Through his involvement he hopes "to use the unique set of personal and professional skills to provide most appropriate aid to minimise any further trauma and loss of life to the Ukrainian people who are caught in this unprovoked conflict.”

About Dr Andriy Boyko
Born in Ukraine, Dr Boyko moved to New Zealand when he was 11 before going on to study medicine in Australia. Dr Boyko has worked across Australia and focusing on areas of General Practice, Emergency Medicine and Orthopaedic/Sport Medicine.  He is currently practicing in Newcastle and Port Macquarie (NSW) where he lives with his wife and daughter. As a Ukrainian native with extensive contacts in Ukraine and through Europe Andriy will be able to provide specialised medical logistics and respond dynamically to constantly changing humanitarian demands as a result of the recent invasion of Ukraine.

Andriy also has extended family throughout Ukraine and is deeply committed to urgent medical support and supplies to Ukrainians as they cross the borders.
