Ukrainian #1 Golfer and Mother need help!

Donation protected
Hi,

My name is Kevin Pease, a Tennis Professional from Cape Cod. Listen to this! Timur Alalin, age 16 is the present Ukrainian Men’s Open Golf Champion and his Mother, Maryna Belonozhko is a tennis professional and sport manager. They lived in Kiev. When I first contacted her she was “hiding out in a school” as the Russian attacks and carpet bombings were leveling the city and their flat. Her son was safety located in Sophia, Bulgaria. I told her to get out of there via a phone call and come to the United States where they could stay. She took a train out of Kiev, down through Romania, picked up her son, traveled back north to Bucharest, where they flew to Frankfort, then Washington, and finally landed at Logan International in Boston where I picked them up and took them to my home to West Falmouth, on Cape Cod.

They have very little belongings with them. And they are kind people who create amazing Ukrainian dishes. I’m not a golfer, but when I went golfing with him and my son, Timur hit the longest drive I’ve ever seen and shoots par or better at local golf clubs. He has a great sense of humor and speaks good English.

After Timur personally wrote  fifty golf directors, David Leadbetter (former PGA Tour Pro) responded and found gracious hosts-
Mike Moreland and his wife, Leslie. Mike is the director of The Junior Golf Association of Northern California (JGANC), a non-profit organization.

My partner, Zara Bogorff, organized golfing practice for Timur everyday  with junior golfers and teaching pros in the area. The support was overwhelming from local residents. It was Zara who had given me the idea of reaching out to fellow tennis contacts in Ukraine which I did. She donated their airfare to California. Her support has been crucial and inspiring!

Maryna and Timur are now living with the Moreland’s in Lodi, California. Mike and Leslie are assisting Timur getting into high school, taking care of immunization requirements, getting him into junior golf events (Mike was a former PGA aspiring golf pro when he was younger and knows what it takes!) while Maryna has helped out at their restaurant with Leslie and is improving her English. She has acquired a car for 1,000. Mike and Leslie are seeking refugee status for their Ukrainian guests so that they may get work permits.

They need financial assistance for food, clothing, living expenses, commuting to jobs, medical, etc. I know they appreciate any financial contribution you can give.
