We have always tried to be the pillar for the Zouk community within the UK and support as many people as we can, not just within dancing, but in life in general.
But we are putting our pride to one side, and being completely vulnerable - Which is such a strange place for us to be. Like so many others in this horrible time of uncertainty we wanted to reach out to our community for some support.
So many event organisers and artists like ourselves have been hit very hard financially (and mentally).
Every single one of events, tours and classes have all been cancelled and postponed until things clear over. Without any future bookings or opportunities to earn money, we will unfortunately not be able to survive properly.
On top of all this we suffered a major financial hit from the recent cancellation of Zouk of Wands with losses on several artist’s flights, venue hire, materials and huge amounts of time and marketing going into it. For many organisers, we rely on these large events to keep us afloat for several months of the year.
Our aim is to release as much online content as possible, including several classes, talks, information, top tips, live videos and many more Let’s Talk Zouk podcasts to help everyone’s sanity at home!
We don’t want to charge for these things, because Linda and I know how much other people are also struggling. Instead we wish to ask for those who can donate to help us, to please donate so that we can get through this extremely difficult and unsettling time ahead.
