Helping pay for cancer treatment

Donation protected
My name is Elouise and I’m a 39 year old Mum to two gorgeous kids under 6.

At the end of October 2018, I got diagnosed with advanced adrenal cancer and began the fight to grab as much time from life as possible. As my cancer is extremely rare (1 in 2 million!), there are very few treatments available on the NHS and unfortunately I have now run out of their options. There are a couple of other chemo’s available which my oncologist is very keen for me to try but these will need to be paid for privately.

Devastatingly, last month I found out that the cancer had now spread throughout my lungs and liver, so the time scale for starting the new pills has become even more urgent. I can get the new chemo as soon as I can afford to pay for it so the challenge is now on to raise as much money to go towards it as quickly as possible.

The cancer has come with a lot of very challenging symptoms – particularly Cushings Syndrome – an excess of up to 20 times the cortisol (adrenaline) in my body. This caused me to put on so much weight that parts of my body literally split apart, I developed diabetes, hypertension, a hump, muscle degeneration, insomnia and brain fog to name a few.

I’ve been totally bald from the chemo and had months of cripping stomach pain but none of that matters.

I can cope with all of this and more – I just don’t want to leave my babies. I want to be there for my daughters 4th birthday next month. I’ve booked a princess and I really want to see her face when she knocks on the door.  I want to see her to go school for the first time and finish reading my son all the Roald Dahl books he loves.

In the mean time, I am going to do everything I can do to live for as long as possible and give them as many happy memories as I can. The only way to do this is to get as much support as possible to pay for this next line of treatment so any help, little or small would be incredibly appreciated.

All money raised will go towards funding medical treatment, chemo, trials etc and anything I can’t use, I will pass on to a charity or another persons urgent care.

Thank you so much in advance xx
