Fighting Cancer--Embrace the Suck ❤
Donation protected
Dona Rhodes, my mother, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. This past Sunday we found out that it's also located in her liver and possibly other places. This came as a huge shock to the entire family, and she's only 44. Mom has been an RN for almost 20 years, dedicating the majority of her career to working in the emergency room and taking care of the critically ill and injured. She's dedicated her life to making others feel better in their time of need, and now it's time for her to be taken care of. We are currently terrified, but we're holding out hope that she can beat this. She'll be receiving treatment in Little Rock, 3 hours away from home. Anything that anyone can donate, is a huge help for gas and travel expenses. I, her daughter, I take it over most of the bills, but there will still be stuff I'll struggle to pay because I don't make as much as she did. If you are unable to donate, that is absolutely fine, please just pray or send out positive vibes for her to make it through this difficult time. If you have any personal stories you want to share, please feel free to comment and let us know! We thank everyone who pauses to read the story and please share so that we can get a huge prayer pool going. I'll post updates to let everyone know.
