James M. Easton, age 46, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI died Monday, January 1, 2018 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, Wausau, WI as a result of an accidental fall.
Jim was born September 14, 1971 in Kenosha, WI and was raised by his mother and step-father, Jan and Glenn Hackler. He married Wendy L. Krause on June 28, 1997 in Racine, WI. Jim was a firefighter/paramedic for the City of Wisconsin Rapids for 23 years. Jim was a secretary/treasurer for the Wisconsin Rapids Firefighters Association and was secretary of IAFF Local 425. He enjoyed NASCAR, camping and football, especially the Green Bay Packers. Jim was a great husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend and was also a “brother” to his fellow firefighters.
Jim is survived by his wife, Wendy; two children, Kellee and Zachary; mother, Jan Hackler of Kenosha, WI; three sisters, Jamie (Scott) Robinson of Arizona, Julie Nelson of Kenosha, WI and Jodie (significant other- Rodney) Easton of Arizona and is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and numerous friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, James and stepfather, Glenn Hackler.
