My name is Stacey McManus and I am a current member of the "Aussie Spirit" Australian Open Women's Softball team.
I have been playing softball for the Sutherland Shire Softball Association since I was 4 and for Softball NSW since I was 14.
This year I have been selected to play for Australia in the 2016 Softball World Championships in Vancouver in July.
This will be my 3rd World Championships and I can't wait to "Go for Gold" in Canada.
Unfortunately, softball lost funding when it was dropped from the 2012 Olympic Games. We are now hoping it will be reinstated in the 2020 games but until then we have to find our own funds.
I am hoping, with your help, I can get to Vancouver and continue to follow my dream of winning "Gold" while representing my country!
