History of our team:
Although we are a new club, we have been an organized group for 2 years now. We have traveled to several women's and co-rec tournaments through NIRSA and the Women's College Flag Football League (WCFFL), competing against teams from across the country.
Flag Football:
Flag football is one of the fastest growing sports in the country! With the introduction of flag football to the 2028 Olympics, flag is growing at all levels including the collegiate level. Help us grow our team and give athletes an opportunity to play at the collegiate level, at THE greatest University!!! There is no better place for football than Athens, Georgia.
Monetary Goals:
- Our main goal for the year is to travel to Jacksonville, Florida for the NIRSA National Championship sponsored by NFL Flag. Not only will we be defending our back-to-back Co-Rec National Championship, we will be bringing women's team for the first time in University of Georgia school history!
- In addition to Nationals we would like to travel to a minimum of 2 per semester
- We want to purchase jerseys and swag so that we can rep UGA!
- We want to remove all barriers for players who may have trouble affording travel and playing costs
