Saving a Palestinian Poet.

Hello World,

My name is Mohammed Abu Lebda, 27 years old, a survivor of 5 wars, a poet and a translator from Gaza strip, Palestine.

This is not a new campaign, I just had to change it and remove name of my family for security reasons. This means that we reached a very difficult situation, death surrounding us from everywhere, and we forced to move several times because of the danger.

You can see below reading a poem during an event created in Al-Meshal cultural center which was destroyed in the previous war. Such a catastrophe is not destroying buildings or targeting civilians, but it is about destroying the culture, the artistic heritage and the dreams of people.

People outside were asking “How can they endure this? This is heroic”

The fact, we aren’t heroes, we are enduring this because simply WE DON’T HAVE ANOTHER CHOICE!

In fact, you have the choice!

You have the choice to let us survive.

For all of us here, we simply want to travel after losing all of this. For me, losing our houses, jobs, and above all losing our both mental and physical health. My mental health is horrible, suffering from multiple illnesses for example: constant stress, anxiety and fear and the worst part is Depression!

Such an experience will definitely let you surrender to all of this pain, but I didn’t, trying to deliver that pain using my talent to people so they can at least read about that pain!
